Joining Hingham Bay PHRF

Existing Members

Existing members will be mailed a PHRF Certificate renewal and Hingham Bay Fleet renewal form in March of each year. 

New Members

1. Download and print a PHRF New England Certificate Application from the PHRF New England Website.
2. Complete the application.  Hints on how to fill out the application are available at the PHRF New England Website .
3. Write out a check to Hingham Bay PHRF.  The amount of the check will vary depending on the amount of sailing you want to do.  See the fee schedule below.
4. Mail the check and application to us at Hingham Bay PHRF, PO Box 540, Hingham, MA 02066.

One Race Free

If you just want to give Wednesday night racing a try and don’t want to sign up for the entire season, there’s no need for all the paperwork, just show-up at the starting line East of Sheep Island around 6pm.  Give the committee boat your name and boat type.  They will tell you which class to start in.  You will want to familiarize yourself with the starting sequences and courses by viewing the HBPHRF handbook.

Hingham Bay PHRF Fees

One Wednesday Night Race	No Fee	Free trial race.
PHRF Certificate Only	$35.00**	For boats needing PHRF certificates only.  The Certificate is good for one sailing season.   (** $50 after May 9th)
Season’s Pass	$185.00	Includes PHRF certificate, all Wednesday night races, and the following weekend races: Solstice Regatta Scorpion Bowl Hitchcock Trophy Chowder Cup
Twilight Season’s Pass	$175.00	Includes PHRF certificate, all Wednesday night races.
Weekend Pass	$140.00	Includes PHRF certificate and the following weekend races:  (normally $35.00 per race) Solstice Regatta Scorpion Bowl Hitchcock Trophy Chowder Cup
Individual Wednesday Night Series	$50.00	This is the fee for 1 Wednesday night series.  You also need to obtain a PHRF certificate for $35.00.
Individual Weekend Races	$45.00*	This is the fee for 1 weekend race.  You also need to obtain a PHRF Certificate for $35.00. (* $5 discount for MBSA or US Sailing members)
Associate Member	$10.00	Associate members help support the organization with their membership fee and receive all mailings and emails.  Typical associate members would be crew members and past members of HBPHRF.
